The Boston Celtics (5-9) will be without star point guard Rajon Rondo when the face the Washington Wizards (2-13) Sunday afternoon at the Verizon Center. Via the team's official twitter feed:
Rondo averaged 13.5 assists against Washington in back-to-back eight-point victories to start 2012. Avery Bradley will take Rondo's spot in the Boston starting lineup.
This will be the second game in a row Rondo has missed. Friday night, without the dynamic point guard, the Celtics lost 79-71 to Phoenix, scoring their fewest amount of points in the past eight seasons.
