Ray Allen Injury Update: Celtics' Guard Hurts Ankle, Will Not Return Vs. Wizards Uncertain

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Washington Wizards may have caught a break in their quest to get their third victory of the season. Boston Celtics shooting guard Ray Allen suffered a jammed left ankle and is questionable to return, the Celtics announced.

UPDATE: The Celtics have ruled him out for the rest of the game.

The play took place midway through the second quarter. Allen was trying to chase Nick Young coming around a screen and was tripped by Jan Vesely. He got up and walked off the floor on his own power, but went to the locker room and has not returned since.

So far, the Celtics have not missed him, as they lead, 49-40, at halftime.
