Celtics Vs. Wizards Final Score: Paul Pierce Scores Season High 34 Points As Washington Loses To Boston 100-94

The Washington Wizards fell to the Boston Celtics 100-94 on Sunday afternoon at Verizon Center. The Celtics were playing without Rajon Rondo, and lost Ray Allen to an apparent knee injury just ten minutes into the game. But Paul Pierce picked up the slack for the Celts, scoring a season-high 34 points. Pierce carried Boston throughout the afternoon, adding 10 assists to go along with his productive scoring output.

For the Wizards, John Wall had 27 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor. Wall had one of his best games of the year, dishing out seven assists and grabbing ten rebounds. He was able to consistently get to line and was perfect from the charity stripe, hitting all nine attempts. But Pierce was too much to handle for Washington, who lost to the Celtics for the third time this year and fell to 2-14 on the season.

They now travel to Philadelphia on Monday night to face the 76ers.
