Wizards Vs. 76ers Final Score: After 30-Point Halftime Deficit, Washington Loses 103-83 To Philadelphia

For the third time this season, the Washington Wizards lost to the Philadelphia 76ers, falling 103-83 at the Wells Fargo Center. Washington is now 0-7 on the road this season. Trailing by thirty points at the half, the Wizards really never had a chance to get back in this one and it was only a matter of whether Philly would extend its lead over the final two quarters. The Wizards picked up the offensive production slightly, and cut the lead by ten against the coasting Sixers.

Jordan Crawford led the Wizards with 17 points off the bench, hitting six of 16 from the floor in 23 minutes. John Wall and Andray Blatche added 13 points each, but the defensive effort was absent right from the jump. After shooting 65 percent from the floor in the first half, the Sixers came back down to earth in the second but still shot better than 50 percent for the game. Elton Brand was questionable before the game but finished with 17 points and nine boards for Philly.

It was the fifth straight loss to the Sixers, who lead the Atlantic Division by five games. Washington has now lost three in a row, but have an opportunity to get their third win of the season on Wednesday when they host fellow cellar dweller Charlotte at the Verizon Center.
