Redskins vs. Giants Score update: Washington leads, 3-0, after 1 quarter

The Washington Redskins lead the New York Giants, 3-0, after one quarter at MetLife Stadium.

A 20-yard field goal by Kai Forbath with 2:13 left in the quarter put the visitors ahead in their first divisional game of the season. The field goal finished off a 17-play, 93-yard drive that ate up more than nine minutes of the first quarter.

Despite having to settle for a field goal from inside the 5-yard line, it was the first time this season that the Redskins have scored on their opening drive.

Tight end Fred Davis was helped off the field after going down on a route in the end zone. He later had to be carted to the locker room with what is being reported as an achilles injury.

In his first division game, Robert Griffin III is 3-for-5 passing for 36 yards as well as one carry for 6 yards. Alfred Morris leads the Washington rushing game with 46 yards on 10 carries in the first quarter.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning completed all six of his first-quarter passes for 67 yards.

The Giants have the ball to begin the second quarter.
