The ACC standings are starting to take shape as November is rapidly approaching.
It's been an interesting season in the ACC, considering all of the surprises in both the Atlantic and Coastal divisions. The Florida State Seminoles are the favorite to win the conference and look like a team on the rise after beating the Miami Hurricanes on the road last Saturday.
E.J. Manuel is one of the top quarterbacks in the country and with the physical defense that Jimbo Fisher's group can play, the combination is potentially lethal.
Duke is leading in the Coastal, showing that it has a strong football program for the first time in years. The Blue Devils are 6-2 overall, qualifying them for a bowl bid.
The Maryland Terrapins are also having a nice year, sitting in fourth place in the Atlantic. Maryland is coming off a very tough 20-18 loss at the hands of the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
Here are the standings for both divisions:
Atlantic
- Florida State 4-1, 7-1
- Clemson 3-1, 6-1
- N.C. State 2-1, 5-2
- Maryland 2-1, 4-3
- Wake Forest 2-3, 4-3
- Boston College 0-4, 1-6
Coastal
- Duke 3-1, 6-2
- Miami 3-2, 4-4
