On the same day that Maryland plays defending national champion Kentucky at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the Georgetown Hoyas will open up their 2012-13 college basketball season with a game against Florida on the deck of the USS Bataan in Jacksonville.
Earlier Tuesday, Georgetown unveiled its new home grays via Twitter. We're not sure they'll wear these two weeks from Friday, but here they are nonetheless.
Look pretty good, right? (Anyone else think it's a little bit ironic to have Michael Jordan's name and silhouette on these Georgetown mock-up uniforms, considering his history against the Hoyas? And yet, we digress.)
Those uniforms will also feature a print celebrating Georgetown's 1984 National Championship, and here's what they'll look like.
In case you needed a better look at the print, here it is.
Very, very nice. We especially dig the images of the two Big Johns (Thompson and Carroll). The Hoyas open their home schedule November 11 against Duqesne.
