Navy will look to get their first win over an FBS opponent on the season when they face Air Force on Saturday. The Midshipmen are coming off a shutout loss to the San Jose State Spartans and have struggled to get their offensive attack going.
The option game for Navy hasn't worked well through the first four games in 2012. The Midshipmen are averaging 4.6 yards per carry this year, nearly a yard below 2011. As a result, Navy is averaging just 14.5 points per game against all competition, and just 8.5 against FBS competition.
Air Force has had much more success with their option scheme. The Falcons are gaining 6.1 yards a carry and have put up 37.8 points per game. Air Force's record sits at 2-2 after defeating Colorado State last Saturday.
The Falcons won the last game between the two service academies, taking a 35-34 victory in Annapolis last season.
Game time, TV channel: 11:30 a.m. ET, CBS
Point spread: Air Force favored by 8.
