Wizards vs. Pacers: Washington loses to Indiana 89-85

The Washington Wizards lost their fifth straight game, losing to the Indiana Pacers 89-85.

The Washington Wizards are still winless on the season, losing to the Indiana Pacers 89-85 and falling to 0-5 on the year. Washington kept the game close, leading 72-70 heading into the fourth quarter, but Indiana outscored the Wizards 19-13 over the final 12 minutes to get the victory.

Rookie shooting guard Bradley Beal played well for the third straight game, scoring 17 points while shooting 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. A.J. Price had 12 points and 14 assists for his first double-double of the season, while center Emeka Okafor had 17 points and eight rebounds. The Wizards bench did not play particularly well, with Jordan Crawford leading the Washington subs with nine points.

Pacers small forward Paul George led all scorers with 20 points, as he shot 8-of-12 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds. Gerald Green added 15 points off the bench, while Roy Hibbert hauled in 12 rebounds, including eight on the offensive glass.
