With the 2012 college football season beginning to wind down, the ACC standings are remarkably still tight in both divisions.
The Florida State Seminoles are deadlocked atop the Atlantic Division with the Clemson Tigers with both enjoying a 6-1 conference campaign, 9-1 overall. In the Coastal Division, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Miami Hurricanes are looking down on the rest of the pack, both 4-3 in conference and just 5-5 on the year.
Unfortunately for the Maryland Terrapins, they won't be fighting for a top spot anytime soon. The Terps started the season well, but they've been ravaged by injuries and now sit at 4-6 overall, 2-4 in conference.
The Virginia Cavaliers and Virginia Tech Hokies have also struggled to a 2-4 mark in the ACC, with both sitting in a tie for last place in the Coastal. Frank Beamer's club is one of the biggest disappointments of the year, with many expecting them to make a run.
