MLS Playoffs 2012: D.C. United offering supporters' buses to second leg at New York

D.C. United announced Friday that the club was offering a free bus trip and match ticket to Wednesday's second leg of the Eastern Conference semifinal.

After the damage brought to the New York area by Hurricane Sandy, Major League Soccer, D.C. United, and the New York Red Bulls agreed to swap home dates in their two-legged Eastern Conference Semifinal. Among the compensation offered to D.C. United was an increased number of tickets to visiting fans for the second leg at Red Bull Arena Wednesday. (The number of tickets allocated to visiting clubs is normally capped at 500.)

So, if you are one of those people who wants to spend your Wednesday afternoon, evening, and undoubtedly Thursday morning traveling to and from Harrison, N.J. for a crucial playoff match, here's what you do.

1. Email roadtrips@screaming-eagles.com to secure your ticket and your spot on the bus.

2. Go to one of the pick-up locations Wednesday afternoon. They're listed on the Screaming Eagles Facebook page, so you have no excuse.

3. Go to the match, have a good time, enjoy a good result for United (hopefully), and tweet us pictures from the trip @sbnationdc.

Cheers.
