Daniel Munoz played all 40 minutes and shot 7-of-9 from the field, but his effort wasn't enough as the American Eagles fell to the San Francisco Dons Monday night, 67-53.
Munoz led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points, adding two rebounds and four assists as well, but turned the ball over five times. Stephen Lumpkins finished with 13 points and was the only other Eagle who scored double-digits. No American player recorded more than four rebounds.
For the Dons, Cole Dickerson scored 20 points and recorded seven rebounds to lead the team in both categories. De'End Parker helped in the winning effort, scoring 19 points of his own. Cody Doolin led the team with eight assists.
