The Washington Wizards, looking for their first win of the season, currently lead the Charlotte Bobcats 51-50 at half. The Bobcats led by as many as 13 points in the first quarter, but the Wizards went on a late run to pull within one point at the end of the first. Neither team gained more than a three-point lead during the second quarter.
The Wizards have had balanced scoring from their starters and off the bench. Emeka Okafor leads all Washington players with nine points. Recently acquired Shaun Livingston scored eight points in the first two quarters, while fellow starter Kevin Seraphin scored six. Martell Webster scored seven points off the bench, while Nene has scored six points in his second game back this season. Bradley Beal played a well-rounded first-half, chipping in seven points, four rebounds and four assists.
Ben Gordon leads all scorers with 16 points, giving Charlotte quality minutes off their bench. Ramon Sessions has added 11 points off the bench for the Bobcats, while Byron Mullens leads all Charlotte starters with seven points.
