The New York Red Bulls and D.C. United head into the second leg of their Eastern Conference semifinal after playing to a 1-1 draw in the first leg on Saturday. The second leg will be played at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. With a storm in New York, it is likely the game will be held in cold snow and wind.
The only scoring in the first leg came on two own goals and featured a missed penalty kick by United's Chris Pontius and a red card for Andy Najar of D.C. United, which will keep him out of Wednesday's match. The second leg will have to end with a winner declared. If the teams are tied after regulation a 30-minute overtime will be played. If necessary, penalty kicks will decide the outcome.
During the regular season these two teams were even, finishing 1-1-1 against one another. United entered the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Red Bulls are the third seed.
Game time: Wednesday, Nov. 7 - 8:00 p.m. ET
