Florida State vs. Virginia Tech 2012: Game Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More

The Seminoles and Hokies meet for a conference showdown with big ACC implications.

Joel Auerbach

Perhaps the biggest game in the ACC this week will come on Thursday night. The Florida State Seminoles currently sit pretty in the polls, although a tough trip to Virginia Tech awaits on Thursday night.

The Hokies are 4-5 this season and are coming off a loss to Miami. They've lost four of their last five games, and a loss this week makes it tough for VT to make a respectable bowl game. Quarterback Logan Thomas is going to need to stop turning the ball over if the Hokies hope to win, and he'll be facing one of the nation's best defenses this evening.

Other than a hiccup against North Carolina State, the Seminoles have been perfect this season. Statistically, it's hard to say FSU has been anything short of very impressive. They rank third in the nation in points per game with 42, and they're third in points allowed at 12. If Florida State is able to avoid the mental mistakes that plagued them earlier in the year, they will likely win.

Game time, TV channel: 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Online streaming video: ESPN3

Point spread: Florida State opened as 12-point favorites, according to OddsShark.
