2012 ACC Championship, Florida State vs. Georgia Tech: Preview and TV schedule

Florida State and Georgia Tech battle for a BCS bowl bid on Saturday.

The Florida State Seminoles face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in the ACC Championship game on Saturday. The Seminoles are trying to bounce back from a loss to rival Florida in their regular-season finale, after losing just one game in ACC play. The Yellow Jackets were 5-3 in conference play, but actually finished in a tie for second in the Coastal Division. A self-imposed postseason ban for Miami, and an NCAA postseason ban for North Carolina gave the Yellow Jackets a shot at the BCS bid.

The Seminoles are led by quarterback E.J. Manuel. The senior has completed 67 percent of his passes for 2,967 yards and 22 touchdowns. Manuel is also a threat with his legs, as he rushed for 102 yards in an important win over Clemson way back in September.

Quarterback Tevin Washington runs the option attack for Georgia Tech. He has thrown for 1,097 yards and rushed for 618 on the year. The Yellow Jackets' big play running back is Orwin Smith, who averages 9.0 yards per carry.

Game time, TV schedule: 8 p.m. ET, ESPN
