The Maryland Terrapins will host the Louisville Cardinals in the quarterfinals of the 2012 College Cup on Saturday, Dec. 1. In their last five seasons, the Terps have qualified for the quarterfinals four times. The winner of this match will face either Georgetown or San Diego in the semifinals on Dec. 7 in Hoover, Alabama.

Maryland comes in with a few decisive tournament victories under its belt. Last round, the Terrapins cruised to a 5-1 victory over Coastal Carolina. Maryland lost just one game all season, finishing with a 19-1-2 record. They entered the tournament with the No. 2 seed, but since No. 1 Notre Dame was upset by No. 16 Indiana, the Terps are the highest-seeded team remaining.

No. 10 Louisville, meanwhile, is one of the hottest teams in the tournament. The Cardinals are 8-1-1 in their last 10 matches. Louisville visited Maryland back in August, and the Terrapins won, 3-0.
