Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris has been nominated for the Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week, according to an official press release from the NFL.
Nominations were based upon performances in Week 14, and a fan vote that opened on Tuesday morning will determine the winner. Voting will close on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., ET.
The winner will be announced on the NFL Network's NFL Total Access, as well as on NFL.com on Friday.
Morris is being recognized for his performance in the Redskins' overtime victory against the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday. The rookie back contributed 122 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries to help Washington defeat Baltimore by a final score of 31-28.
Other individuals nominated for the weekly honor are Travis Benjamin of the Cleveland Browns, Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles, David Wilson of the New York Giants and Harrison Smith of the Minnesota Vikings.
