The Washington Wizards lost their second game in two days against the Detroit Pistons, losing 96-87 at the Verizon Center. Washington has lost seven straight games and owns an overall record of 3-22.
The Pistons dominated the Wizards in the first two quarters, leading 54-35 at the half. The Wizards played better during the final two quarters, but could not overcome the hole they dug themselves into.
Jordan Crawford led Washington with 21 points, only shooting 4-13 from the field but sinking 11 of his 12 free-throw attempts. Crawford also dished out five assists and forced five steals. Bradley Beal contributed 14 points, five assists and four rebounds, but went 0-5 from beyond the arc. Emeka Okafor had a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
Charlie Villanueva played well off the Detroit bench, scoring 19 points while shooting 8-13 from the field. Rodney Stuckey also had a strong game off the Pistons bench, scoring 18 points and dishing out 8 assists.
