In what must be one of the longest pregame shows for a regular season game in the history of the NFL, ESPN 980 announced Thursday that that it would air eight-and-a-half hours of coverage prior to the kick-off of Sunday night's battle for the NFC East between the Redskins and Cowboys.
Here's the statement from the station itself.
Pregame coverage begins at Noon with Scott Jackson. 2pm "Live at FedEx" with Doc Walker and Chris Russell. 4pm Larry Michael's game plan. 5pm Official pregame show with Kevin Sheehan, leading up to 50 yard line show with Larry, Sonny, Sam and Doc with kickoff at 8:30pm.
Hey, look at SB Nation DC's own Scott Jackson leading the line! That's what we call putting your best foot forward.
Look, there's clearly a market for this sort of thing, since the whole town has been talking about this match-up since the second the gun sounded in Philadelphia last Sunday. With Redskins fans pacing a hole in the floor over this game, the team's flagship radio station might as well give them something to take the edge off.
