Washington Wizards point guard John Wall continues to make progress in his return from a knee injury. Wizards head coach Randy Wittman informed the media on Thursday that Wall patricipated in "dummy" drills for the first time this season. Although the team still did not allow Wall to participate in contact drills, Wittman said the the point guard's rehab is "moving in the right direction."
Wall talked to Marcus Spears from Yahoo! Sports about this injury, and told the reporter that he hopes to return sometime in January. Returning to practice is an important step in Wall's recovery, and helps validate his personal timetable.
Washington will welcome back Wall with open arms whenever he returns, as the team is struggling without their young point guard. The Wizards own the worst record in the NBA at 3-23, and have lost eight games in a row, the second longest active losing streak in the league behind the Charlotte Bobcats 16-game losing streak.
