It's an afterthought for the Washington Redskins, but every win they get makes one of the picks they gave the St. Louis Rams in exchange for Robert Griffin III slightly less valuable.
The package Washington gave up for Griffin was certainly an arm and a leg: to move up just four spots, they gave up the No. 6 pick in last year's draft, which turned into Morris Claiborne, and their second round pick, which turned into Janoris Jenkins. However, Griffin's performance in 2012 has vaulted his team into the playoffs, and as a result, the pick they gave up in 2013 won't be one of the top 20.
If the Redskins had lost Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, the Rams would have gotten the No. 18 pick in the upcoming draft in addition to the No. 16 pick they got as a result of their 7-8-1 finish. Now, the Redskins' position in the draft depends on when they're eliminated from the playoff.
Here's a look at the top 20 picks in the 2013 NFL Draft order, now official after the regular season, as provided by SB Nation's Mocking the Draft.
