Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE

The American Eagles (4-5) return home on Sunday to face the Columbia Lions (4-4) at Bender Arena. American has played four of their previous five contests away from home. It is the seventh meeting all-time between the two schools, with American holding a 4-2 lead in the series.

American is coming off a 73-70 double overtime victory over UMBC on Thursday night, thanks in large part to the performance of sophomore guard John Schoof, who had 19 points in the game. Schoof, shooting .529 from behind the three point line this year, played every minute of the double-OT win.

The Lions' four wins this season have come against Furman, Haverford, Villanova and Wayland Baptist. Columbia is led by guard Brian Barbour, who averages a team-leading 13.5 points per game and 4.5 assists per game.

This is the sixth straight season that American and Columbia have played. The Eagles captured last year's contest, 68-58, in New York City.

Game time/location: Sunday, Dec. 9, 2 p.m.,ET Bender Arena, Washington, D.C.

TV/radio coverage: The game will be streamed live through Eagles Vision TV, available at AUEagles.tv.
