Wizards Vs. Pistons Final Score: Washington Powers Past Detroit, 98-77

The Washington Wizards kicked off a road trip with a crushing defeat of the Detroit Pistons 98-77. The Wizards picked up just their sixth win of the season, but they did so in dominating fashion led by JaVale McGee and Nick Young. Both players picked up 22 points on the night, leading the Wiz in scoring as McGee picked up 11 rebounds for a double-double on the day. Point guard John Wall has just 9 points on the night, but he was able to help fuel the offense by picking up 15 assists.

In the loss, Pistons center Greg Monroe led the way in scoring with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Outside of Monroe however, the Pistons offense struggled to get going with Rodney Stuckey picking up 11 points and Tayshaun Prince adding another 10 points. The Wiz perimeter defense was able to hold the Pistons to just 9.1 percent shooting from three-point land.
