After losing to Holy Cross by seven points last Saturday, the American Eagles look to keep their seeding in the Patriot League as high as they can as they welcome the Navy Midshipmen to Bender Arena Wednesday night. The Mids have lost 17 consecutive games and are currently winless in the Patriot League this season.
American won the first game between these two teams with a 67-60 victory at Annapolis on Jan. 18. Guard Charles Hinkle led the Eagles with 17 points while guard Daniel Munoz had 13 points and seven assists.
The Eagles will need big games from Hinkle, averaging 19.4 points per game, and guard Troy Brewer, averaging 12.2 points per.
The Midshipmen will be relying on forward J.J. Avila, who dropped 24 points on the Eagles in the first game. The Mids will also need a big game from guard Jordan Sugars, averaging 11.5 points per game, to finally break through with their first Patriot League victory of the season.
