NBA Power Rankings 2012: Wizards Up One Spot In Latest SB Nation Power Rankings

The Washington Wizards have improved their play of late, starting out their current five-game road trip with back-to-back wins. They had previously only beaten the lowly Bobcats on the road but wins in Toronto and Portland have moved the Wiz up a spot in Tom Ziller's latest NBA Power Rankings for SB Nation. Now, the New Orleans Hornets join the Bobcats as teams behind Washington. At 7-24, the Wizards are now 28th overall in Ziller's rankings. When you get to the bottom of the league, it's hard to find many positive things to write. Ziller thus addressed Nick Young's pleas to be a part of All-Star weekend:

As a rookie, Nick 'Swaggy P' Young campaigned for inclusion in the dunk contest ... and was snubbed. This year, he campaigned for inclusion in the three-point contest ... and was snubbed. Next year he may become the first person to ever request to be invited to the skills challenge. (They'll take Steve Novak instead.)
