2012 NFL Combine: Sunday Schedule And Preview

Sunday at the NFL Scouting Combine is traditionally a marquee day. The list of potential draftees being poked, prodded and judged lightens a bit, as the kickers, punters, tight ends and offensive lineman exit Indianapolis, with the "star" positions taking their place in the workout spotlight: the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. In other words, Sunday at the 2012 NFL Combine is going to be an exciting day for Washington Redskins fans, as the team has obvious needs at two of those three skill positions.

While the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers show off their speed and strength in skills drills, defensive lineman and linebackers will be undergoing psychological tests and having interviews with teams. Defensive backs, the last group to arrive in Indianapolis, will be having their measurements taken and undergoing medical exams.

The Redskins brass will most definitely be keeping an eye out today for possible quarterbacks and wide receivers to add depth to the roster. Today is the day annually when some wide outs and running backs break stopwatches, while others will appear to be running in cement shoes, dropping their stock in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft. Should be fun times.

The entire NFL Scouting Combine schedule may be found here. The NFL Network will broadcast drills beginning at 9:00 a.m. and also stream the workouts online.
