Patriot League Basketball Tournament 2012: American Vs. Army

The American Eagles will play their first game of the Patriot League tournament tonight when they face the Army Black Knights on Wednesday.

The American Eagles didn't win the regular season Patriot League title, but they do have a pretty high seed in the Conference tournament and an easy match-up in the first round against Army. The tournament begins on Wednesday, and the American game tips off at 7:30 pm.

The Eagles have already beaten the Army Black Knights twice this year, including a 74-50 beatdown earlier this month at West Point. The Eagles actually had a tougher time against Army when they hosted them at their place, only managing a 67-55 win in January, which still isn't all that close to be honest.

In their most recent match-up, the Eagles played about as well as they could on both ends of the floor. They shot over 60% from the field while limiting the Black Knights to just over 30% shooting. You're going to win a pretty good amount of the games you play when the shooting percentages are that far in your favor.
