The Georgetown Hoyas and South Florida Bulls are the two best defensive teams in the Big East, and as expected, their matchup Saturday morning has been an ugly, low-scoring affair. Despite holding the Bulls without a point for almost 11 minutes of the first half, the Hoyas hold just a 23-15 lead entering halftime.
Georgetown shot just 34.8 percent from the floor in the half, missing five of the six three pointers they attempted. Henry Sims led the way for the Hoyas with seven points and five rebounds.
South Florida had an even tougher time offensively. The Bulls made just six of 23 field goal attempts, and have turned the ball over 11 times. Augustus Gilchrist has nine of South Florida's 15 points.
