Running back Curtis Martin, the fourth-leading rusher in NFL history, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, along with Chris Doleman, Cortez Kennedy, Willie Roaf, Dermontti Dawson, and senior selection Jack Butler.
Jerome Bettis, who rushed for over 13,000 yards in his career, was passed over by the Selection Committee. Also missing the cut for induction were ex-Giants and ex-Cowboys coach Bill Parcells and wide receiver Cris Carter, who amassed the fourth most receiving yards in league history.
