The George Washington Colonials had a big first half against the A10 leading Temple Owls, outscoring the Owls 41-29 at halftime. It looked like George Washington might be able to pull out an upset victory if they should just hold on in the second half. The Colonials couldn't hold on however, as Temple put up 50 points in the second half of the game to pull out the 79-72 victory.

In defeat, Lasan Kromah led the Colonials in scoring off the bench with 22 points. Dwayne Smith didn't do much after the first half, ending the night with just 14 points. For Temple, guards Ramone Moore Khalif Wyatt led the way putting up 25 and 22 points respectively. The Colonials were out rebounded 35-28 in the loss, but Jabari Edwards was able to pick up 10 rebounds off the bench.
