VIDEO: Kyle O'Quinn's Layup Gives Norfolk State Win Vs. Missouri

New, 1 comment

The Norfolk State Spartans pulled off an incredible upset in Omaha today, defeating the highly favored Missouri Tigers 86-84. Kyle O'Quinn led the Spartans with 26 points and 14 rebounds, but none bigger than this put-back which ended up being the game winning basket.

Despite a late surge from the Tigers, the Spartans, led by O'Quinn, made all the plays needed down the stretch to secure the victory. They are the first No. 15 seed to upset a No. 2 seed since the Hampton Pirates defeated the Iowa State Cyclones in 2001.
