NC State Vs. Georgetown Score Update: Wolfpack Close Half On 15-2 Run To Lead By 3

After one half in Columbus, the Georgetown Hoyas trail NC State 30-27. The Wolfpack went on a 15-2 run to close the half and take the lead heading into the locker room. Georgetown set a slower pace for the first 10 plus minutes, controlling the action and leading by double digits before NC State's run to end the half.

The Wolfpack took the Hoyas completely out of rhythm on the offensive end. Henry Sims picked up his second offensive foul on a charge drawn by C.J. Leslie. As a result, the senior went to the bench with 14 minutes remaining in the half and did not return. While Georgetown dominated the paint on Friday against Belmont, the Hoyas have only six points in the key right now, matching up against an NC State front line with considerable length.

Georgetown has also committed 10 turnovers already, including a steal by Leslie to end the half with a wide open dunk on the other end.

Jason Clark and Hollis Thompson lead Georgetown with six points each, but Clark is just one of five from the floor so far. Otto Porter, who was fantastic against Belmont, has only three attempts from the floor. John Thompson III will get a boost with the return of Sims and look to get Porter into the action to stop the Wolfpack's momentum and re-take the lead in the second half.
