William & Mary Vs. Northeastern Final Score: Huskies Survive Scare From Tribe For 57-49 Victory

Although it was a lot closer than expected, the Northeastern Huskies survived the first round of the CAA tournament, defeating the William & Mary Tribe, 57-49.

Although the Tribe put up a 39.6 field goal percentage to the Huskies' 34 percent, Northeastern won the game at the foul line, making 20-of-33 foul shots to William & Mary's 5-of-10 mark.

Quincy Ford led the way for the Huskies with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Two other Huskies reached double figures, with Jonathan Lee scoring 11 points and Joel Smith scoring 10 points.

For William and Mary, Tim Rusthoven led the way with 12 points, while Marcus Thornton came off the bench to score 10 points.

Northeastern will now move on to the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament to play VCU tomorrow. Tip is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
