Robert Griffin III Will Keep Driving His Chrysler Pacifica, If His Dad Has Anything To Say About It

In the midst of their bar-and-Hooters-hopping antics in Waco Tuesday night, it seems that the Redskins brass actually found time to meet with the parents of Robert Griffin III, who the Redskins may be drafting next month. Rich Campbell of the Washington Times has an account of that meeting, and we're absolutely not surprised that Daniel Snyder asked the Griffin family what kind of car RGIII drives.

"The owner, he had a lot of concerns,'" Robert Jr. [Griffin's father] recalled. "You know, a young kid coming into the league. He asked us what type of vehicle Robert drives. I said, 'Chrysler Pacifica the whole time he was at Baylor.’

He said, ‘Yeah, because guys in our parking lot are driving Bentleys.’ I said, ‘Robert is not going to be driving no Bentley. If he do, you call me.’"

Thanks, Dad. Though as Toyota people ourselves, there is something to be said for brand loyalty. We'll be taking bets on whichever Chrysler dealership puts in an endorsement call to Griffin the second he arrives in town.
