The last Capitals fans heard from prospect Evgeny Kuznetsov, Washington's highest-rated prospect was planning to stay in Russia and play in the KHL next season. It now appears, at least based on a recent Kuznetsov interview, that perhaps he will not be staying in the KHL. Washington Capitals blog Russian Machine Never Breaks has more:
major #KuzyaWatch update: In his interview Rossiya 2 TV after today's game Kuznetsov admits statement about staying in KHL was not serious

Kuznetsov: "I said I was staying [in KHL] just so they would leave me alone."

Kuznetsov, the 26th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, is Washington's highest-ranked prospect and would be a welcome addition to the Capitals line-up next season. Of course, based on his penchant for saying 'not serious' things in interviews, this new proclamation should be taken with the requisite grain of salt.
