Georgia State Vs. George Mason Score Update: Patriots Trail 30-25 At Halftime Of CAA Quarterfinal

No. 3 seed George Mason has rallied from an 11-point first half deficit, but still trails Georgia State 30-25 at halftime in the final quarterfinal game of the 2012 CAA Tournament Saturday night in Richmond.

The No. 6 seed Panthers ripped off a 16-4 run over a period of 4:46 midway through the first half and took a 22-11 lead with 9:39 remaining before halftime on a three-pointer by Devonta White. But that was as big as Georgia State's lead got, as the Patriots began chipping away behind an energetic cameo by Vaughn Gray. George Mason reduced their deficit to three points on two occasions shortly before halftime, but Tony Kimbro Jr.'s tip-in with a minute to go provided the halftime margin.

Mike Morrison leads all scorers with eight points for George Mason, with Gray (5 points) the next-highest scorer. Rashaad Richardson leads Georgia State with seven points, while James Fields has six points off the bench and White has followed up with five.

The winner of this game will play VCU in the semifinals after the second-seeded Rams defeated Northeastern 75-65 earlier Saturday.
