The Maryland Terrapins are on a two-game losing streak as they head into the regular season finale against the Virginia Cavaliers at home. The Terps are coming off a beating to North Carolina, but want to close the season out with a win and gain some positive momentum heading into the ACC conference tournament. The last time the two teams played on Feb. 18, the Terps played totally uninspired and let the game get out of hand, suffering a crushing 71-44 defeat. Maryland can't have another game like that and limp into the conference tournament.
The Cavs on the other hand are also riding a two-game losing streak and hope for a repeat of the earlier matchup. The Cavs have compiled a 21-8 regular season record, but have struggled in ACC play going just 8-7 in the conference. The Cavs hope to pick their game up on Sunday afternoon and avoid falling to .500 in conference play with another win over Maryland.
