2012 MEAC Tournament: North Carolina Central Blows Away Maryland-Eastern Shore, 60-41

The North Carolina Central Eagles took care of business, drubbing the Maryland-Eastern Shore Hawks 60-43 in the first round of the MEAC Tournament Tuesday evening.

The Eagles stuffed the Hawks offense into shooting just 34.9 percent for the game and committing 24 turnovers. Although Maryland-Eastern Shore was able to win the battle on the glass 37-24, their mental mistakes did them in.

Three Eagles scored in double figures, with Dominique Sutton leading the way with 13 points. Ebuka Anyanora added 11 points, while Justin Leemow was able to score 10 points.

Hawks guard Percy Woods scored a game high 10 points, but received little help from his teammates.

North Carolina Central will now face the winner of tonights Bethune-Cookman-South Carolina State game Thursday at 9 p.m.
