Cavaliers Vs. Wizards: Washington Struggling To Cool Down Cleveland

Things don’t appear to be looking much better these days for the Washington Wizards, who have dropped six of their last eight games.

One day removed from a 38-point loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the struggling Wizards(14-45) find themselves down 50-43 at home against the 19-win Cleveland Cavaliers at halftime.

Defense has proved to be rather problematic, as the Cavs have shot 66 percent from the field, as well as 2-for-3 from 3-point range.

Conversely, the Wizards have converted just 19 of 42 field goal attempts and have no bench points.

For much of the game, center Kevin Seraphin and guard John Wall have shouldered the load, scoring 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Wall, in particular, has been efficient, shooting 60 percent from the field and dishing out three assists, compared to just one turnover.

The Wizards have defeated the Cavs during their last two meetings at the Verizon center.
