NFL Mock Draft 2012: Redskins Projected To Draft Robert Griffin III

With pro day season behind them, the Washington Redskins now are moving forward with their preparations for the 2012 NFL Draft. The Redskins are still projected to draft Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III with the No. 2 overall draft pick in the latest SBNation mock draft.

Washington was smart to make this move, getting a franchise quarterback. Mike Shanahan's team also opened the wallet to add receivers Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan to give their new quarterback some targets, making his transition to the NFL that much easier. The Redskins have high hopes for their rookie quarterback in year one.

Its no surprise that the Redskins used their free cap space to sign veteran wide receivers. Drafting receivers is always a tricky proposition, so bringing in guys like Garcon and Morgan who have NFL experience should help in Griffin's adjustment to the NFL.
