Nationals Vs. Marlins: Nats Win In Extras Over Marlins, 3-2

It took ten innings to do it, but the Washington Nationals defeated the Miami Marlins 3-2 at Nationals Park.

Wilson Ramos hit a sacrifice fly to center field and Ian Desmond scored the winning run from third base giving the Nats a walk-off win and bringing their record to 12-4 on the season.

The loss drops Miami to one game under .500 with a 7-8 record.

For Washington, Tom Gorzelanny (1-0) got the win, but Stephen Strasburg had another solid outing going six complete innings giving up four hits, one walk and striking out six Marlins batters. He threw 94 pitches and 60 strikes in the ball game.

As a team, the Nats had 35 at-bats with seven hits and nine strikeouts as Desmond led the way with two RBI's in the game.
