Marlins Vs. Nationals: Sunday's Postponement Will Not Alter Washington Rotation

The Washington Nationals series finale with the Miami Marlins scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to weather, with the team yet to announce a makeup date. The canceling of Sunday's game will not, however, alter the Washington rotation.

Via Mark Zuckerman of Nats Insider:

Manager Davey Johnson said he won't make any changes to his rotation, so all five of his starters will now get six days of rest between outings. Gio Gonzalez, Jordan Zimmermann and Edwin Jackson will pitch against the Padres Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Ross Detwiler, Stephen Strasburg and Gonzalez will pitch next weekend against the Dodgers.

The starting pitchers for the 12-4 Nationals have not allowed a run in their last 16 innings and sport a MLB-best 1.82 ERA.
