Washington fans' long, national nightmare is over. Bryce Harper has finally homered at Class AAA Syracuse. The Nationals top prospect had the audacity to accumulate 60 at-bats this season with the Chiefs before finally notching his first home run, a fourth inning solo blast Saturday against the Buffalo Bisons.
Harper has experienced similar slow starts in his progression through the minor leagues. Entering Saturday's contest, the 2010 No. 1 pick was hitting .220 with four doubles, a triple, six walks and 13 strikeouts in 59 AB's with the Chiefs.
After the jump, check out the Nationals Natural absolutely crush a ball over the right field fence for AAA home run number one.
