NCAA Lacrosse Rankings 2012: Loyola Still On Top, Virginia And Maryland In Top 10

For the second week in a row, the Loyola (Md.) Greyhounds are the top-ranked team in the Division I NCAA Lacrosse rankings. Loyola and the University of Massachusetts stayed in the top and the second spots, a carryover from last week's poll.

The University of Virginia was at No. 6. They did not move down despite last week's loss. The University of Maryland dropped one spot to No. 9. The Terps lost to Duke, who climbed all the way to No. 3 after winning the ACC championship last week.

Johns Hopkins came in at No. 11. Those were the only local teams in the top 20 this week.

Notre Dame was ranked fourth this week. North Carolina has the fifth spot, between Maryland and the Fighting Irish. UNC was the ACC runner-up.

Two other area schools earned votes in this week's poll. Georgetown and Navy both drew some looks from voters.
