The Military Bowl will be played this December 27 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C. according to a tweet by the Washington Post Sports twitter account.

If the Army Black Knights are not bowl eligible after the 2012 regular season, the game's committee will most likely extend an invitation to an eligible Conference USA team. Army is the lone service academy football program to have not played in the game.
The game has been around since 2008, when it was conceived as the EagleBank Bowl. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons defeated the Navy Midshipmen in the inaugural game, 29-19 on December 20, 2008. Northrop Grumman took over as the primary sponsor for the game after 2009 and renamed it the Military Bowl.
The 2011 Military Bowl saw the Toledo Rockets squeak out a 42-41 victory over the Air Force Falcons on December 28 after Air Force failed on a two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter. Toledo wide receiver Bernard Reedy caught four passes for 126 yards and three touchdowns and was named MVP.
