NFL Mock Draft 2012: Mel Kiper Has Robert Griffin III To Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins are fully believed to be taking Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III in the 2012 NFL Draft, especially after trading up to the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper gives the Redskins the Heisman winning quarterback to the Redskins in Kiper's latest 2012 NFL Mock Draft.

2 - Washington Redskins - Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor

Last time I did a mock, the Redskins moved into this slot a day later. It wasn't an unexpected move, it was just a matter of which team was going to do it. Obviously, the Redskins see RG3 as a long-term answer, and I agree with the assessment that he can be an NFL starter in Week 1. Again, no surprises here.

While Kiper did a two-round mock draft, the Redskins obviously don't have a second round pick in this year's NFL Draft, but the team loaded up on players in free agency in preparation for the lack of draft picks.
