Tiger Woods had a rough first round of the 2012 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Woods started his first round by bogeying two of the first three holes, but managed a birdie on hole No. 2 to give him a one-over on the front nine.
On the back nine, Woods bogeyed No. 10 and then had two birdies and bogeys over the last six holes to finish with a two-over 74. This round makes the rest of his tournament an uphill climb as he is nine strokes behind current first round leader Ian Poulter, who shot a seven-under 65. This first round currently has him tied for 115th in the field.
