2012 Players Championship Score Update: Zach Johnson Shoots Up The Leaderboard After Strong Second Round

Zach Johnson has made his presence felt in the second round of the 2012 Players Championship, shooting a six-under 66 to give him eight-under for the tournament and the second round lead early on Friday.

First round co-leader Martin Laird shot a one-over 73 for the round and finished the day at six-under, dropping him two strokes back of the lead. Fellow co-leader Ian Poulter is just starting his second round and stands one stroke back of Johnson at seven-under.

Another big round at the Players Championship was by South Korean Charlie Wi, who shot a five-under 67 for the round, putting him at six-under for the tournament. American John Huh is also having a good round, shooting seven-under through 17 holes in the second round, putting him at four-under for the tournament.

Tiger Woods will tee off his second round with Hunter Mahan shortly.
