Preakness 2012: Bodemeister An Early Favorite To Win

Saturday's Preakness Stakes might feature a familiar refrain from the Kentucky Derby. Horse racing experts are predicting a tight race between Bodemeister and Derby winner I'll Have Another. For now, Bodemeister is a slight favorite.

At the Derby, Bodemeister finished second behind I'll Have Another, who pulled ahead with a surge down the stretch. I'll Have Another is looking to win the second race in the Triple Crown.

The Preakness is the shortest of three Triple Crown races, a fact that might work to Bodemeister's advantage.

Early odds from Jerry Bossert at the New York Daily News put Bodemeister at 2-1. I'll Have Another is right behind at 5-2. Bossert gives Went the Day Well 5-1 odds.
